Is it OK to come on my own?
Yes. This event is a good opportunity to mix and make new friends. About 15% of our guests come on their own.
I am 65 years old. Is this event suitable for my age?
We have the widest range of ages attending this event, from babies with a few weeks only to participants over 80. Also we have a wide range of activities for all energy levels.
Can I bring my dog?
The One World Summer Camp is one of the very few dog friendly events. We allow dogs, except for potentially aggressive species. Dogs must always be on a lead and are not allowed indoors or on the sports playing fields. You must also clean up after your dog.
Do I need to book for the workshops?
No there is no need to book for the workshops. Just drop in.
Where can I obtain more information about the workshops and programmes?
Full details of all the programmes are available on registration - including workshops and children‘s activities, a profile of each of the teachers and all the menu options, as well as a full plan of the site and information on all aspects of the festival.
Are all the workshops free?
The cost of the workshops, classes, seminars & lectures detailed here - as well as meals - are all included in the price you pay to attend the festival. You are free to attend workshops, go for a walk or just rest, whatever you want!
When should I / we arrive and depart?
Arrival is on the first day between 12 noon and 3 pm. The opening ceremony and induction workshop starts at 6 pm. The first meal is served at 7 pm. On the last day, brunch is served at 9 am followed by departure.
Can I/we arrive earlier and depart later?
For those coming from abroad and far away it is possible to arrive the previous day and leave Sunday the 10th at an extra charge of £15/adult, £10/child, £20/bed per extra night (includes food).
Can you meet my special dietary requirements?
Our menus are quite varied and we can give you information about all ingredients used. For instance if you are on a non wheat diet you can pick and choose to suit your requirements. Most people with such requirements can find a satisfactory solution, however we cannot cater for individuals.
Is the food suitable for vegans, vegetarians, macrobiotics and kosher?
All the standard menus are animal free. The few processed foods we use are carefully selected to ensure this, so there is no risk of intake animal foods without being aware of it. In respect to kosher standard, we go a long way to meeting them but not totally.
